Mr. Karumom M. Neelakantan is a well-known writer of poems, short stories and children’s literature in Malayalam. Some of his poems were presented and discussed in MTIE (Malayalam, Tamil and Indian English) Writers’ Forum, and got applause and appreciation. His writings are the true exemplifications of his eminent eloquence and rhetorical skill. As an upholder of truth, values and goodness, and an ardent lover of poetry, his power of observation and style of expression are admirably attractive and amazing.
Now he appears before us with ‘Resurrection’, his first collection of English poems. This collection contains twenty-two poems with different and relevant themes. I enjoyed the reading of it and felt a scent of serenity and philosophical profundity throughout this collection and am sure that all readers will experience the same.
