Oliver Twist

Oliver Twist was the second novel by Charles Dickens, published first in 1838 as a series. It was later on compiled and published as a novel in 1839. Written in plain and simple English, the story is about the hardship and downfalls endured by the little orphan but still rising above the abject conditions of the lower class. London and its dark hidden avenues are neatly depicted by Dickens in this novel. This book, another abbreviation of a great classic, would help young readers and starters in entering the world of English literature.
